We began in July 1999, when we could no longer tolerate the crime and deterioration of our neighbourhood. A group of like minded citizens decided to take a stand to reclaim their neighbourhood.

Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED)

East Side Pride and St. Clair College Police Foundation Students 2016 have partnered to bring a message to neighbours. We are going to tell you how to deter criminals from picking you to steal from. The decision to develop this project was based on the crime report of our neighbourhood for the first 6 months of the year. Property crime is up. Providing information with simple tips for residents can deter a thief. They are lazy and really just want your things you worked hard for. You need to work just as hard to protect your possessions. The students have successfully designed a door knocker and secured donations with information that will be left at the home of people in our neighbourhood. This easy to read document will provide more information about the information dropped at your door.
